| The arrangement and design of the Premier trike began in 2007. One of the main ideas of the Premier trike is to offer this trike as a custom build, and to offer a “basic kit” for the do-it-yourselfers and those interested in viewing the Premier trike as a business opportunity. As a custom build, there are a lot of individual choices that go into the Premier trike such as the type and style of upholstery. Other individual choices would include handlebars, dashboard arrangements, gauges, wheels, and shifter, to list a few. A lot of personal ideas can be included in the build of the Premier trike. The fiberglass grill area is copied from a shortened 32 Ford grill. The fiberglass rear body and seating area is copied from a 27 Ford with modified fenders and trunk area making room for the rear seat of the trike. The front fork assemble has the appearance of a springer style fork but has no springs, instead uses an air bladder for suspension. The Premier trike is powered with a 4.3 Chevy Vortex V6 engine for better fuel economy plus taking advantage of the lighter weight, comparatively to the V8’s. Another advantage for using the Chevy 4.3 V6 is the aftermarket parts that’s easily available such as the Edlebrock intake manifold and carburetor, alternative electronic ignitions systems, and a nice assortment of chrome and polished aluminum parts. There’s a lot of personal satisfaction and joy found in the build and ownership of the Premier trike.
